About the LONG project
The research of Lifelong Development of an Individual, which takes place in Brno is concentrating upon topics of longitudinal stability and changes of personality, integrating for life experience and personality coherence. The sample consists of people who took part in a longitudinal research entitled "Mental development of children of school-age in different social environments" (1961 – 1980) and who were kind and agreed with continuing the research of adults (since 2000). The details about the goals of the project, historical circumstances of its course, methodology and sample are stated in the Manual of the research. The appendices of the Manual also include summary of the main results from the first phase of the research in adulthood (see Final report form the grant project "Stability, variability and prediction of mental characteristics in adulthood: following up upon a longitudinal research of children").
